Coloured Hanzi

A personal challenge to learn Chinese characters through something I love – type design. What started as a simple dual colour of my interpretation of each character eventually became a space where I express my latest design experiments. The point of this exercise is not for me to recreate any pre-existing fonts, neither are there suppose to be fully legible. This exercise is for me to purely have fun and purely express it, however, I feel at that time whether I feel inspired or not. I’ve finished all 100 most common characters so far and I will continue on this journey on learning through design.
